Anthropic deprecated claude-sonnet-4-5-20250929 on September 30, 2026. It retires on November 30, when requests to it start to fail, and the named replacement is claude-sonnet-5-5.

API version 2026-10-21 retires three sampling settings.
It removes temperature, top_p and top_k; a request that sets them gets a 400 error. On Claude 4.7 and later models, earlier API versions return the same error for any value other than the default.

PostgreSQL 14 gets its final release.
14.24 is the current minor release. PostgreSQL 18 is supported until November 14, 2030, and its new asynchronous I/O reads from storage up to three times faster in some workloads.
